Overview of the then current knowledge about the North Pole and the South Pole (one chapter on the South Pole) It covers the history of those regions and their explorers, as well as its fauna and native people. Covers faded. Pages age toned, foxing but suspect this is due to the type of paper used in the book (quite stiff). Very Good.
