Shelfware, some marks to covers, spine shaken, beginning to loosen. Previous owners signature to front pastedown, missing fep, half title heavily spotted. Pictures of 3 Arctic birds tipped into prelims plus odd neat pencil annotation in margin on odd page of text., some foxing, mainly to prelims and page edges but also affecting pp 45-46 where a newspaper cutting recording of the unfortunate death of Charles Pearson is tipped in in front of a photograph of him.
