Being the narrative of Alaskan-Estonian Digger August Masik, as told to Isobel Wylie Hutchinson during the Arctic night of 1933-34, near Martin Point, Alsaka. A fascinating memoir of Alaskan-Estonian digger, August Masik, one of Alaska's first pioneer adventurers. This account of his life and adventures were told to Scottish writer and explorer Isobel Wylie Hutchinson while she was traveling alongside Masik. A very scare title. In 1934, she became the first woman to receive the Mungo Park Medal from the Royal Scottish Geographical Society.
