Original olive green cloth, gilt titling to spine, front cover gilt lettered with blind stamped with 2 penguins. Covers faded with some stains, pages aget toned with some moderate foxing, some pages slightly warped. Like Rosove 205.A2 but still with advertisements on half-title verso and with both publishers. Rosove 205: "Levick was a surgeon on Scott's Terra Nova expedition (1910-1913) and member of the six-man northern party. This book is a delightful volume in which Levick narrates not of the men's lives at Cape Adare but rather those of the Adelie penguins during the nesting season."
