Similar collation, edges and formatting, with changes of 2nd edition, addition of 3 pages to appendix of volume I, an additional map at page110 and table of distances in volume I expanded, no tipped in slip, some new authorship attributions in Vol 2 (with changes made accordingly in contents, extending preliminaries by 2 pages. Vol 2, xvii, 534 pages, 84 plates including photogravure frontispice plus 7 folding maps and 8 sketches in text. Original covers, top edges gilt. Shelf wear, covers slightly stained, some foxing, contents clean. Considered by Rosove & Spence to be the best with typograhical errors and mistakes of the earlier editions corrected. Vol. I. Journals of Captain Scott. Vol.2. Reports of the Journeys & the Scientific Work by Dr.Wilson and the Surviving Members of the Expedition arranged by Leonard Huxley, Preface by Sir Clements R. Markham.
