The book was published in 1938 and has been several times reissued. Scarce. xi, 284pages, frontispiece plus 7 plate leaves. Folding map tipped into rear cover. Original covers in PHOTOCOPIED dust jacket for protection. Covers faded and stained. Ink inscription dated Christmas 1938 on front end paper. page edges spotted, DAMP DAMAGED at bottom of some pages which has resulted in some of the plates being damaged or stuck together at the bottom, as such sold as a Reading Copy only
