    Description 1st Edition: Vol II vi, [1], 268 pages, illustrated, 4 woodcuts. Original covers, blue marble end papers, pencil annotations on p258 saying "skip next two pages." crosses over pages, all in pencil. Pages 257 to 260 then inserted again are from Vol III, also again pages 261 to 264. Parts of spine missing, covers detached, text block sound, age toning to pages. Binder must have had an off day! Volume 4 recalls the departure from Isle a la Crosse to Chipewyan, subsequent departure from there and difficulties of the various navigation of the rivers and lakes and return to winter quarters at Fort Enterprise.
