    Description Travel Book Club Edition; 224 pages, 4 maps. Original covers in unclipped dust jacket. Shelf wear, dust jacket missing some pieces but now neatly encased in mylar with and archival quality paper laid behind. End papers browned, minor spotting to page edges, page 30/31 looks like it was previously uncut and then be separated badly which resulted in small margin loss and repair, text unaffected. The British South Georgia Expedition, 1954-55 was the first expedition to enter Antarctic regions with mountaineering as its principal objective. The author set out to explore the ice-bound mountain in the Allardyce Range. With several dangerous passages and narrow escapes in the process.
