The official account of the expedition was by Borchgrevink under the title of First on the Antarctic Continent in 1901, but Bernacchi had also been busy writing and his account of the expedition was also published in 1901. Appendices on climate, terrestrial magnetism, zoology, geology, astronomy. A thoughtful account with greater details of significant events than Borchgrevink's book.
