    Description No date but c 1994. 521 pages, illustrated with b/w photos, maps, sketches, plans, end paper maps. Original covers in unclipped dust jacket. Previous owners stamp and previous owners neat inscription on front end paper otherwise contents clean, appears unread. "Tragedy and Triumph" is a facsimile edition of Captain Robert Falcon Scott's last Antarctic expedition of 1911-12, which ended with the death of his party of five on their 800 mile return trek from the South Pole, when the survivors were only 11 miles from the base camp and safety. It reproduces his record of the expedition. The journal was published soon after World War One and had long been out of print when this facsimile edition was printed.
