Very interesting account of the ill-fated journey of the whale ship "Diana" during the mid-nineteenth century. The author's log of a fourteen-month whaling voyage to the North Sea and the Davis Strait, which resulted in the Diana - the first whaling steamer in Hull - becoming stranded in ice for several months. Not all survived the ordeal, but she did sail back home. A very nice copy Price £100.00 Keywords qpolarq, arctic, polarbook, polar, whaling S1-Wha ISBN Add this to your basket
