Original covers, no dust jacket as issued. Includes introduction by Sir J. M. Barrie Bart. Introduction by J. M. Barrie, the godfather of Robert's son, Peter Scott. Barrie was one of the seven people to whom Scott wrote letters to in the final hours of his life during the fatal Terra Nova expedition. Contemporary previous owners bookplate verso front board, gift dedication dated 1918 on front end paper. Contents clean. Shelf wear, some spotting, mainly to page edges. A nice copy.
