The Author Helene Gingold, (1866-1926) wrote four books of poetry, three novels, two short story collections, two plays and two volumes of satirical sketches of persons in financial industry. Though initially well received, she and her works have largely been forgotten. This is her play interpretation of the fated love story of Abelard and Heloise.
