Original covers. Previous owners dated signature Xmas 1948 verso front end paper otherwise contents clean and bright. Pocket edition in this series of "Library of Classics" by Collins (Originally published in 1924). Edward (Teddy) Evans, a Senior Royal Naval officer, accompanied Captain Robert Scott on his Polar expedition as his second in command. This is the story of this ill fated expedition. There are three maps and a list of all the personnel on the expedition (with their nicknames). It includes both the shore parties and the ship parties. A very good copy of this first-hand account in a neat format ideal for travelling.
