    Description 1913 Edition; Vol 2, xii, 534pages. 84 plates including photogravure frontispiece plus 7 folding maps and 8 sketches in text. Original covers, no dust jacket. Minor shelf wear, slight wrinkling to pages and odd spotting mainly to tissue guards. A nice bright copy, contents clean. Volume 2 contains a host of first-hand accounts deserving of more weight today: Cherry-Garrard's account of the Winter Journey, Victor Campbell's narrative of the Northern Party, Griffith Taylor on the Western Journeys, Raymond Priestley on the ascent of Erebus, preliminary scientific reports from Edward Wilson's staff and throughout the unrivalled photography of Herbert Ponting.
