Shelf wear, dust jacket tatty, spotting to prelims and page edges, pages slightly rippled, contents clean. Diary of 4 Soviet Marine Biologists on a 9-month expedition to the North Pole in the late 1930s. On May 21st 1937 they were landed by aeroplane near the North Pole. The icefloe they landed on was to be their home for the next nine months as it drifted southwards over a distance of 1324 miles.
