Shelf wear, covers slightly grubby, previous owners signature to front end paper otherwise contents clean. A nice copy. Biography of the polar explorer and hero with a tribute from Stanley Baldwin. The life of Henry "Gino" Watkins, who died in 1932 at the age of 25 on his 4th Arctic expedition, to Greenland. [Neate S37: Gino Watkins (1907-1932) was a good climber who became a driving force in Arctic exploration. He discovered the highest mountains in Greenland which are now named after him, but drowned while out hunting in a kayak.
