Collated, all complete. Contents include: Planning the House; Recipes and Hints on Food; Home Dressmaking; Advice on Health (including how to take a sunbath!); Hints for the Garden: A Chapter for Bee-Keepers; Index. The 1st Edition of this vanishingly scarce work. An insightful 1920's guide to housekeeping, produced by the BBC. The work was compiled from segments from the 'Household Talks' BBC radio show, as many listeners wished for the talks to be put into writing. The talks included discuss all manner of subjects on maintaining the home, including gardening, how to decorate, a selection of recipes, dressmaking, and bee-keeping. The aim of the talks were to 'help those who want to live economically, and yet enjoy the good things in life'.
