    Description 1883 Edition: xviv, 415pages, [32pages publishers advertisements]. illustrated with 2 steel portraits, 2 coloured maps and 186 woodcut illustrations. Origianl covers, gilt titling to spine. Corners slightly bumped, folding map has neat closed repaired tear, contents clean. A very nice copy. The voyage, which lasted from 1878 to 1880, was undertaken to prove the navigability by steamship of the North-East Passage.
