    Description 1st UK Edition; xvi, 415pp, illustrated, 32 b/w plates, 125 line illustrations including maps. Green cloth covers with gilt musk ox head to front cover and gilt titling to spine. The author's account of his six-month canoe journey up the Peace and Mackenzie Rivers. Heavily illustrated with many drawings by the author and many photographs. In this classic work of hunting and exploration, Seton and his expedition traveled to northern Alberta and beyond, canoeing on the Athabaska River. While Seton devotes much study to the natural history of the region, there are episodes of hunting moose, caribou and musk ox. Ex SPRI library, SPRI cancelled stamp to fep and title page otherwise no other markings. Shelfware, spine slightly sunned, pages clean. Very Good.
